By yourself
• Take a walk. Talk to yourself (descriptive adjectives)
• Walk and notice (really notice) nature or wabi-sabi (beautiful imperfection)
• Walk and listen for nature or unusual sounds. (mindfulness)
• Notice the time it takes to walk from your office/teacher's room to the nearest ice cream machine. Enjoy.
• Just smile. Notice what it does for your feelings. (mindfulness)
• Inhale in a bakery/flower shop (mindfulness)
• Slow breathing (mindfulness)
• Walking meditation (mindfulness)
• Eat something with mindfulness (mindfulness/ sequence)

These first few are from a Zoom at KOTESOL. I got this from the Zoom Chat txt. Thanks to Michael Free for getting it for me. Later I added ideas from an online workshop in Nepal. Then I started mixing in student answers. I posted about the project on Facebooks so some are from there. Those without names are from people who wanted to participate, just didn't want me to use their names.
• Hug my wife,
• Get a cup of coffee.
• Momoka: Look out the window, go for a walk, get a cup of coffee.
• Andre': Stretch, dance, sing a song, get a cup of coffee ...
• Riko: Make cup noodles
• Shiho: Touch nature (the wind, wood, sand, grass, etc.)

• Alissa : Call Mom and Dad, look at my plants, get a snack, look outside, think about cats

• Robert: Back in the olden days, 5 minutes was enough time to write a postcard. Never underestimate the power of a postcard! We all love to be remembered. And in the internet age, postcards are even more special.

• Natsuki: read a magazine, drink tea, eat ice cream, listen to music
• Miu, Kaho, Nozomi: Go for a walk, eat sweets, listen to music
• Go for a stroll.
• Yuzuki: Stretch.
• Jim: Put your phone away and talk with a classmate in your first language (in that time before class formally starts)
• Marc: Listen to a pep talk from kindergarteners

• Dave: thanksgiving to God for blessings, for wisdom, for forgiveness, for peace in our hearts, for peace in our homes, for friends and family, for life, for love, for work, for play, for the people of Ukraine, the persecuted, the enslaved, the impoverished, the hungry, the homeless, the broken hearted, the imprisoned, Sooo much need.
• Marc: I like the one Dave added about giving thanks. Also think about how we can thank people: Face-2-face, an email or text, bringing candy to someone (how about the school's office staff). What else? Who else?
• Go jogging, read books, stare at pictures of my favorite artist.
• Ayaka: Eat pudding.
• Iori: Buy clothes.
• Do weight training
